“I don’t know, maybe it was the way I was raised, but I have so much admiration and respect for seniors in our community.” Hedick says.
Only leaving the area briefly to study business management and marketing Hedick later returned home to the business community.
He adds, “I always knew I would find a way to enrich peoples lives and that this would be my calling. I started to focus in on the senior community and decided that the people I would serve through my business endeavors would be the same senior community that taught me so much and instilled such great values in me throughout my youth.”
Hedick opened Acti-Kare as a way to give seniors the help and care they needed to remain independent and safe in their own homes as long as possible. Another cause close to his heart is the pursuit of a cure for Alzheimer’s and dementia, and until there is a cure the proper care for those who suffer from this disease.
“Dementia has affected my family and a very personal way.” He continues.
Through his company, Acti-Kare, and his personal efforts, Hedick looks forward to be major contributor for senior causes for years to come.
At Acti-Kare Responsive In Home Care, we know that caring for an aging loved one who is starting to have difficulties around the home, (but is still independent and wants nothing more than to remain in their home) can be quite a difficult situation for the family. This is especially tough for those who don’t live near their loved ones or have a heavy work or family related schedule. It was for these reasons that TJ and Leslie Hedick opened Acti-Kare Responsive In-Home Care right here in Hernando County.
“At Acti-Kare we know that each of your loved ones situations are unique and we treat them that way. Whether they need light housekeeping, transportation, medication reminders, meal preparation, or companionship- we develop a care plan that specifically meets their needs.”
TJ and Leslie have roots in this community that go back four generations and are closely involved with the senior community. “I feel the responsibility to be an advocate for seniors here in the Nature Coast of Florida” Hedick says.” Rest assured. When you can’t be there for your loved one, we can!”
