This is my first experience with home care. I have had Multiple Sclerosis and up until January was fine. After this relapse, I am unable to walk and now use a wheelchair and walker. Augustina has been very understanding and helpful.
The process of partnering with an in-home care company for your love one can be overwhelming. Linda, Betty and the entire LARES organization have and continue to go above and beyond to assist my sister and our family. Right from the start, their caring shined through! Linda started the process by asking about us and what they could do to help in our difficult time, and they have continued to do so. They are always willing to help and find solutions to ensure that my sister and my family are taken care of. Anita, our in-home aid, is absolutely amazing and we are very thankful for all she does! LARES is very proud that they are a family-owned company and they have truly made us feel that we are part of their family. From the first night I contacted Lares in a near panic with my mom coming home from the hospital in a couple of days abd not knowing how to care for her, through mom's passing, Lares was there for us. Anthony was always available to help with any and all questions and logistics, Nancy was so thoughtful and caring and was a comforting presence for us in our mom's last days. And our two main caregivers, Patience and Emelia were amazing. They shared their lives with us, and their love and care. Our dad was a minister and my mother a woman of strong faith. Both ladies sang hymns with and for us which I know mom enjoyed. Both ladies also gracefully managed to deal with the stresses we all at times let show. For the entire time we used Lares, I never felt alone through this horribly difficult time. I would absolutely use Lares again if the need presented itself. Amazing people, each and every one.

Each staff member - owner, nurse, caregiver, office manager and team -- always been accessible and have given me exceptional service. Lares Home Care found the perfect caregiver match! They listened to needs and accommodated us accordingly. Even during the peak of Covid 19 cases and lockdowns, Lares' services took appropriate measures and never waivered to provide excellent care. I can't speak for the experience of others, but I can say whole-heartedly that from my perspective, the current owner and staff members that I interfaced with are providing the kind of quality service that everyone can feel proud of and feel safe with. We first were introduced to Lares Home Care when my father needed live-in support. Lares provided a wonderful gentleman who cared for my father during the last six months of his life. Recently, my mother needed care after a hospital stay and I again arranged for a lovely live-in aide, who is currently helping my mother with her daily needs and is a positive force in her recovery. Lares Home Care also has an experienced professional staff to work with when arranging care and providing regular medical assessments. I used this agency to care for my mother-in-law. She needed 24 hour care as her health declined. LARES was the only agency, I contacted two others, that responded to me in a timely manner with detailed information about 24 hour care, with a follow- up call and a home visitation to meet my mother-in-law. Although, she passed within 4 days of having a
caretaker in the home, the service, care and compassion was exceptional. I highly recommend this agency when home care is needed.

Our experience with Lares Home Care was exceptional- Start to finish! From the office staff who worked to find us coverage within less than two days from calling to having the aide begin, to the wonderful RN who met with us at the initiation of services to the very capable and caring home aide. We have been helping to care for our elderly parents for four years now and as they get older it becomes more challenging. We started with an aide 4 hours a day and now are up to 14 hours a day. Lares Home Care has been a phenomenal resource in my good friend Carl?s transition into an assisted living facility. When my friend could no longer care for himself in his home, he turned to me. He had never married and all of his family had predeceased him. We secured a unit for him in the Willows, but it soon became clear that Carl had deteriorated quickly and significantly, and that he was going to require considerable help to be able to make a successful transition into assisted living.
His caregivers from Lares are wonderful. They are kind and compassionate, and they treat my friend like family. Carl was worse than disheveled by the time he moved out of his house, and now every time I see him, he is well groomed and his clothes are clean and tidy. Although he is well beyond being self-sufficient, Carl?s care from Lares has made all the difference in the world. He recently opted to sell his house and to keep his aide permanently while residing at the Willows. The Lares personnel make his doctor?s appointments and get him to appointments outside the transportation radius for the Willows. They take excellent care of him for six hours each day. They are responsive to his needs, flexible about the schedule and collaborative with the staff at the Willows. Everyone agrees that Carl has never looked better.
If it were not for our kind friends at Lares Home Care, Carl would already be in a nursing home. We are indebted to Lares management and caregivers, and we highly recommend their services.

My father has Alzheimer's. A couple of months ago, we needed to get home care everyday for him. We started using another agency and they always had a hard time getting us an aide. We were recommended to Lares from a friend. I spoke to Roy, who was very helpful and comforting. He got back to me the next day with an aide for my father. Our next meeting was with Anthony who was great. He really was sweet and helpful and very understanding of our situation. Over the summer my father had fallen ill and needed home health care before being able to be released from the Rehab facility he was in. This was my first time having to deal with something like this and didn't know where to go and how to begin the process. Someone at the Rehab facility recommended Lares Home Care and from the minute of contact I knew this would be a great company to care for my father. Anthony had met my aunts and me at the facility and was nothing but great from the beginning. He explained everything to my family and me along with answering any questions we had. He was very caring and understanding and made sure my dad was going to be set up with the best care possible and made me feel confident in my choice. All of the staff from the office to the nurses and aides have been wonderful. They are always checking in and making sure everything is going great with my dad. My 87 year old Dad lives in assisted living in Monmouth County N.J. and he needs an aide to accompany him to doctor appointments when the need arises. I contacted Roy from the nursing home before discharge and needed to have home care set up within 2 days time and it was done without question. The staff at Lares Home Care are very caring and go the extra mile to make the patient feel comfortable and at ease. When it came time for Hospice Care Roy was right there with us helping out in planning what we needed to do. My mother began using Lares Home Care after being diagnosed with a chronic illness and it became apparent that she needed assistance with activities of daily living. I needed help getting my 99 year old Aunt to my daughters wedding in PA.
Spoke to Roy and he understood exactly when I needed. He provided us with Fleurette, who drove and took care of Aunt Sophie. Fleurette was an incredible aide and a great person.The experience with Lares from beginning to end was a good as it could have been. Would highly recommend their services

My father has had a full-time aide at his assisted-living facility since August 2017. His aide is very kind and patient and attentive. Whenever she takes time off, her replacement is also very good. Roy is very responsive and very good at putting family members at ease. Needless to say, deciding that your parent needs home care is very stressful, but Roy quickly alleviated our concerns and was very comforting. I would definitely recommend Lares Home Care.

I met Roy over two years ago and made an instant connection with him. Roy's passion and commitment to provide the best healthcare in the home is immediate. We recommended my grandmother's HHA work with Roy after leaving her previous employer so she could stay with my grandmother.

Once I spoke to Roy, I was so relieved because I knew I found the right home care for my 99 year old father. As a nurse over 30 years, I get asked many questions. Mostly folks need a referral. They ask me "who is the BEST"? Lares homecare I must confess is the best homecare agency I?ve ever worked for. Mr Roy cares about his employees as well as his clients. He hires the best care givers, the job interview process was a tough one , but thank goodness i passed. He once told me that without we the care givers he does not have a company.
